New Zealand born Elizabeth Amoore, mother of five children and five grandchildren, has been a follower of Christ for thirty years. The Lord placed it on Elizabeth's heart to go into the mission field in February 1989 when the Operation Mobilization ship, MV Doulos, came to Auckland, New Zealand. After six years of preparation, she set out with Operation Mobilization in 1995. She states, "God had impressed on me to let go of my home and possessions so I would be totally free to go where He wills without any encumbrance. For me it was a big step of faith but as I was confident that God was guiding me, I whittled down my possessions to two suitcases knowing that if He was sending me, He would also provide my every need." Elizabeth served around the world with Operation Mobilization for four exciting years aboard the MV Logos II and MV Doulos ships before returning to New Zealand.

While working with Operation Mobilization, Elizabeth heard of the plight of the Jews being brought out of Russia to their homeland, Israel. Refusing no challenge, Elizabeth signed on with Ebenezer's "Operation Exodus" to help His "chosen people" go back their home via land, sea and air. For three months she helped bring many immigrants from the Ukraine to Israel via ship.

In December 1999 Elizabeth was once again challenged by what happens to the Russian Jews upon reaching Israel. For the next 15 months she worked at the Distribution Center of Christian Friends of Israel. She helped settle the new immigrants through many hands on ministries in Jerusalem where as many as 80 new Jewish immigrants came per day for help.

Beginning in January 2002, Elizabeth served in Russia for one year as a "fisher of men." She searched for Jews wishing to go to Israel and helped them with humanitarian aid, documentation, and travel. After a refreshing break in New Zealand, Elizabeth returned to Israel in May 2003. She is currently working with Streams in the Desert. She helps Jewish pensioners emigrating from the former Soviet Union find homes in Israel. She will be returning to Russia in 2004.
