Reverend Michael
Caldwell is Senior Pastor of Rogers Memorial Baptist
Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. A mighty, humble
and gifted man of God, Reverend Caldwell is
anointed to preach God's Word to the saved and
unsaved. He is a much sought after evangelist
who imparts both wisdom and
understanding from the Word to all those to whom
he ministers.
Reverend Caldwell was born
March 27, 1961 in Orleans, France to the late
Jack H. Caldwell and Shirley B. Caldwell who
presently resides in Spartanburg, South
Carolina. Reverend Caldwell attended Lathrop
High School in Fairbanks, Alaska and graduated
from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 1987
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political
Science. He received a Master of Divinity
degree, graduating with honors, from the
Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta,
Georgia. He has taken courses in pursuit of his
Doctor of Divinity degree from the United
Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
Reverend Caldwell preached his
first sermon at age 17 in Fairbanks, Alaska at
Corinthian Baptist Church. He was licensed by
Pastor R. W. McGraw at Greater Olivet Baptist
Church, Los Angeles, California in 1980 and was
ordained in 1987 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist
Church in Anchorage, Alaska by Dr. Alonzo B.
Patterson, Jr. In 1989 he became Pastor of Mt.
Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Cartersville,
Georgia. Other positions held by Reverend
Caldwell are Pastor of Holy Trinity Baptist
Church, Delta Junction, Alaska; Young Life staff
member; administrative assistant and youth
pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church,
Anchorage, Alaska; class coordinator of Billy
Graham Crusade; member of the board of directors
of the Georgia Department of Human Resources
and, Tallatoona, Inc. He is a member of Georgia
Missionary Baptist Convention, Tennessee
BM&E State Convention, Greatland State
Baptist Convention of Alaska, and The National
Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Reverend Caldwell
has also served on the Board of Directors of the
National Kidney Foundation, and as
Vice-Moderator of the Knoxville District Baptist
Convention.
Reverend Caldwell is presently
Director of Campus Ministries Knoxville College,
Instructor of Religious Studies, and President
of the Knoxville Interdenominational Ministerial
Alliance.
Reverend Caldwell and his wife have three
children.
